Atlas LBS API - Overview
Atlas LBS API makes it easy to create your own location based social network.
By using Atlas LBS API you can focus on your application's special features, and let us manage for you your users, groups, presence information, locations, media, messaging and points of interest.
Atlas LBS API includes over 80 APIs which gives you exactly the platform you need for a great location based social network application.
Atlas LBS is the optimal tool for developers who wish to create new application or add social networking abilities to existing applications. The API is accessible by simple http requests from any platform.
The API is composed of the following categories:

Users management – creating and maintaining user account, sign up and sign in, session management, password handling, search users, etc. it is also possible to create several applications and services, so the same user can subscribe to more than one application.

Presence – control user's presence details and privacy, avatar, personal message and location information.

Social – manage groups, friends, invitations, get and search friends and group members in geographic context.

Media – upload media items with or without location information, share them among social groups and friends.

Locations – manage location information. Save user's location over time for display for tracking.

Messaging - allow users to interact with each other, and send text messages, media or even POIs to one another.

POIs - enable users to generate their own POIs (points of interest), and share them with other users of the application.
Atlas LBS platform can be used together with AtlasWeb, AtlasMobile or AtlasWAP APIs as visual and interactive interfaces. However, it is independant and can be used as a standalone platform for any developer who needs to develop a great application with limited resources.
