Mapping Data
Our products are supplied with mapping data to cover relevant countries or areas. The geographic data is obtained from leading data suppliers such as NAVTEQ and TeleAtlas, as well as local data providers for a worldwide coverage. AtlasCT has the ability to support new data providers and insure our customers uniform mapping solutions worldwide. AtlasCT offers remote service as well as stand-alone servers to be hosted by the customer.
Portal
AtlasCT is the owner and developer of ABmaps.com, a global maps portal.
The portal provides a variety of free geospatial services including address search, routing, Points-of-Interest (POIs) lookup, weather forecasts and real-time traffic information.
History
Founded in 1987 in Israel, AtlasCT is a privately held company that started out as specialist in urban mapping products such as paper maps and city guides.
During 1998 AtlasCT shifted focus to the field of digital mapping by developing the AtlasNET™ map server, one of the fastest GIS engines available on the market today. AtlasCT grew to be the market leader in Israel, providing mapping services for major Internet portals and business sector leaders (banks, insurance companies, yellow pages publishers, etc.).
Since 2001, AtlasCT has been expanding its activity from Location-Based Services over the Web to navigation and mapping services for mobile platforms.
During 2004 AtlasCT launched ABmaps.com, a global maps portal. The portal provides a variety of free geospatial services.
During 2006 AtlasCT signed a long term agreement with Nokia, as the provider of mapping services for the Mobile Search application running on Nokia’s Smart Phones.
In 2007, AtlasCT won the Social Networking category of the Global LBS Challenge™ for the EMEA region.
During 2008 AtlasCT was named a semifinalist of the Global LBS Challenge in the Social Networking category for the EMEA region and in the Navigation category for the APAC region.
AtlasCT is a member of key development forums among is Forum Nokia Pro and of the Israel Mobile Association.
