Driving traffic to your site by adding traffic info to your Map

Are you checking the map before getting out? Most of us are, especially before a drive to a new location.
But there's a reason to check the map before each time we go for a ride, and that is TRAFFIC. We want to get the general idea of the load, and plan our way, and even the time we get out and start driving.

It's nice to see that Mobile Crunch reporter Greg Kumparak has also noticed the great features of AtlasCT's iPhone Navigation API

Not all users speak the local language

We cannot expect everyone to speak the local language, especially when we are talking about tourists who plan their trip in a foreign country. It is easy for an English speaker to search an address or a route in Israel, since the maps are available in both Hebrew and English, but what would a Russian speaker do?

Do you need maps for your iPhone App?

Now you can use our services in iPhone as well to display dynamic and interactive maps with layers of POIs, and use our GIS services to get the route to your destination! A nice example for this service is the new application of Bezeq - B144 (http://www.b144.co.il/iphone_landing.aspx) that uses our services to display the location of businesses, search addresses and get the route to a selected business on the map as well as in a textual description.

You'll be able to find us at Hall 2, together with many other great companies from Israel.

Would you like some ads to go?

It is clear that one of the most important thing is to see the ROI for your mobile application. One of the options that is only now starting to take off is Location based advertising. This is surely something you need to consider, since asking the users to pay is not always the best approach. On January 26th we will have a webinar in which we'll show how you can easily add location based advertisement into you mobile application with Atlas Mobile SDK.

Is the sun shining in London?

While global warming is in progress and everyone is talking about the weather, we've decided to listen to voices of our users and customers, and added Foreca's (www.foreca.com) great weather information to our maps portal www.abmaps.com. You can now see on the map the current weather info for each major city worldwide, as well as 5-days forecast. The weather information is integrated in our services, and you can also offer it to the users of your own website. And the answer to the question above is, of course: check it out at www.abmaps.com (though you know it is cloudy as always over the
